About Woodstock
The Town of Woodstock is located in western New Brunswick, approximately 100 km west of Fredericton, 300 km west of the Nova Scotia border, 200 km east of the Quebec border, and just 25 km from the Maine, USA border.  Woodstock is beautifully situated at the meeting point of the Meduxnekeag River and the Wolastoq (St. John River) and is easily accessible from the Trans-Canada Highway (Exits 184–194) and Interstate 95 (Exit 12). Woodstock holds a special place in provincial history as New Brunswick’s first incorporated town, established on May 1, 1856.

Industry & Major Employers
The forest and agriculture industries are the backbone of the local economy. These industries are supported by a strong network of trucking, equipment, and skilled labour contractors.  Potato farming is the largest agricultural sector, alongside grain, dairy, and livestock production. The Federal, Provincial, and Municipal governments also provide significant employment in the area.

Health Care
Residents are served by the Upper River Valley Hospital, located at Exit 172 in Hartland, just a short drive from Woodstock.

Education
Woodstock is part of the Anglophone West School District in the Province of New Brunswick, providing educational services to students from kindergarten through high school.
