Notice: Military Personnel in the area

The Town of Woodstock is happy to welcome Miliary Personnel from the Tactics School at CFB Gagetown on Thursday July 30th to complete a training exercise held on Red Bridge Road.

 

The training involves a planning exercise as part of the Infantry Dismounted Company Commander Course. There will be approximately 25 military members in the area from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
The personnel will be in uniform but will not have possession of heavy equipment or weapons. Their training exercise will not impact through traffic in the area – however, please drive with extra caution.

Road Closure Notice: Old Home Week Parade

The Old Home Week Parade will take place on Sunday, August 2nd, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Parade participants will begin lining up on Deakin Drive starting at 12:00 noon.
Road Closures:
Deakin Drive (from Maxwell Street to Main Street) will be closed from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. for parade staging. Drivers will be detoured via Eastwood Drive during the closure. Please drive with extreme caution, as this is a residential area. Detour signs will be posted.
The parade route—from Main Street to King Street—will be closed beginning at 2:00 p.m. and will remain closed until the parade has concluded.

Door-to-door Canvassing - Skylink/Rogers

Attention Residents 

Several individuals will be canvassing between July 27th-31st on behalf of Skylink and Rogers.

As always, residents are reminded to use caution when engaging with door-to-door sales representatives and to request proper identification if needed.

Road Closure Notice - Joe McGuire Road Race

The Woodstock Recreation & Community Services Department will host the Tim Hortons Joe McGuire Road Race on Saturday, August 1st from 8:30 am-10 am.

The following streets will be closed at this time:
🏃Main Street (from Kirkpatrick Street to Deakin Drive)
🏃Grafton Bridge (this will be closed as racers cross over the bridge)
🏃Route 105 to Hilltop Lane

Participants will vary in ages from 5 to 85 yrs and will be running or walking the marked route. For the safety of all participants and volunteers, we ask that you use caution if traveling during this time.

Ongoing Road Works

Location: Houlton Street (Between Charlotte Street and Union Street)

Dates: Starting today, July 21st, through to the beginning of September.

Traffic Impact: Intermittent single lane closures with flagging can be expected and small delays.

Curb Stop Utilities Project

Notice: Ward 4 Residents

Summer students are working on a project to locate and accurately record all curb stop valves at properties within Ward 4. The goal of this project is to minimize the impact of water main breaks and maintenance, allowing teams to quickly locate and shut off water supply to properties when necessary to complete required repairs.

Water & Sewer Utility Assistance Program

Residents in Ward 4 can access the application for assistance and submit on April 1, 2026. Residents will receive utility bills for the calendar year on June 1, 2026.
