Whether you’re a seasoned paddler or trying kayaking for the first time, this accessible launch makes getting on the water a breeze.  Come down to the waterfront, soak in the beautiful views, and explore the Meduxnekeag and Saint John Rivers from a whole new perspective. Bring your kayak, your friends, and your sense of adventure!

 

 

Welcome to the Woodstock Kayak Launch!

Please follow these steps for a safe, smooth launch:

1️⃣ Check First
• Wear your life jacket (PFD) at all times.
• Check weather & river conditions.
• Tell someone where you’re going.

2️⃣ Unload & Prep
• Park only in marked areas.
• Unload your kayak away from traffic.
• Get your gear ready on shore.

3️⃣ Launch Carefully
• Place kayak fully in the water.
• Hold the sides or rail.
• Step in slowly, stay low & balanced.

4️⃣ Paddle Safe
• Stay near shore if you’re new.
• Watch for other boats.
• Enjoy the river — leave no trace!

5️⃣ Take Out & Clean Up
• Exit slowly — same way you got in.
• Carry your kayak back up.
• Clean, drain & dry your boat.
