PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Town of Woodstock intends to consider proposed By-Law No. 604.01, A By-Law Respecting Dangerous or Unsightly Premises.
The proposed amendment is intended to update the Dangerous or Unsightly Premises By-Law to reflect the current structure of the Town of Woodstock.
• Proposed to be removed: Section 2.1. The Appeals Committee shall be any three
members of the Planning Advisory Committee (PAC), but not to include any PAC
member who is also a Councillor, selected by the Development Officer of the
Town of Woodstock, who shall act as non-voting Chair of the Appeals
Committee. The PAC and Development Officer are no longer in existence therefore the
provision is no longer applicable.
• Appeals will be dealt with by the Committee of Council designated by Council for
this purpose in accordance with section 134 of the Local Governance Act.
Any person wishing to inspect the proposed by-law may do so
by appointment at Woodstock Town Hall, 244 Connell Street, NB during regular
office hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday to Friday except holidays. You may
also view the by-law on the Town’s website at https://woodstocknb.ca/bylaws-policies
The deadline for submitting written objections/support to the Town Clerk shall
be 12:00 p.m. on the date of the third reading, Tuesday, September 8th,
2026. Written objections/support may by mailed or delivered to Town Hall or
e-mailed to the Clerk: clerk@woodstocknb.ca
