PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Town of Woodstock intends to consider proposed By-Law No. 609, A By-Law Respecting Waste Collection and Disposal Within the Town of Woodstock.
Any person wishing to inspect the proposed by-law may do so
by appointment at Woodstock Town Hall, 244 Connell Street, NB during regular
office hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday to Friday except holidays. You may
also view the by-law on the Town’s website at https://woodstocknb.ca/bylaws-policies
The deadline for submitting written objections/support to the Town Clerk shall
be 12:00 p.m. on the date of the third reading, Tuesday, October 27th,
2026. Written objections/support may by mailed or delivered to Town Hall or
e-mailed to the Clerk: clerk@woodstocknb.ca
After the first reading, the following proposed changes were added for the second reading:
- Removed references to collection of organics (i.e. composting) in various sections
- Section 3.2. – removed municipality providing a waste receptacle container to each new residence as constructed and modified requirements for replacement receptacles
- Section 4.3. c) added Type B residential properties the ability “to make arrangements, at their own expense, for the collection and delivery of their waste to a designated disposal facility”
- Section 5.1. removed and replaced with;
- Adjusted sections 2.27., 4.2. a) and 4.2. c) wording to reflect the change in section 5.1.
