Off-Road Vehicles
In New Brunswick, the Off-Road Vehicle Act outlines regulations for operating off-road vehicles, including all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and motorized snow vehicles.
The Act specifically addresses the operation of vehicles on motorized snow vehicle managed trails, which are closed to general motor vehicles from December 1 to April 15.
Once the closure period for motorized snow vehicle trails ends on April 15th, ATV operation on these trails is permitted.
ATVs are NOT ALLOWED on any street in the Town of Woodstock. A few years ago there was a limited trial done on specific streets by the municipality, however the trial was neither extended nor renewed.
We are receiving complaints of ATVs becoming active. Be aware that Woodstock Police Force will be issuing fines for Off-Road Vehicle Act infractions.
