
Battle of Vimy Ridge Commemoration Parade

On behalf of the Staff and cadets of 318 Woodstock Army Cadets, I would like to invite you to attend the commemoration parade for the Battle of Vimy Ridge. The Battle that took place from April 9 to 12th, 1917 is seen as Canada’s most celebrated victory. Please join us in commemorating this milestone in Canadian history and remembering our comrades who gave so willingly so that we might stand free. Those who wish to march with the cadets should meet at the J.D. Winslow Armoury located at 107 Chapel St, Woodstock, NB at 1810hrs on April 9th. Dress will be No 1A for military members and regular ceremony dress for all other participants. We will form up there and then step off at 1820hrs. The parade with move to the memorial in front of the Woodstock Court house on Main St where we will hold the memorial with lighting of candles and remembering. The parade will then march back to the Armoury where everyone is invited to join us for light refreshments. Those who are unable to march or just wish to watch should be parked or standing near the memorial in front of the courthouse NLT 1820hrs.
