Take Back the Night March

When:

Community Events
Take Back the Night March is an international movement and action that began as a way to protest the violence that women experienced while walking in public at night. The purpose of these marches was to speak out against this violence and raise community awareness to prevent future violence. In recent years, the mission of TBTN has grown to encompass all forms of violence against all persons, however sexual violence against women still remains the primary focus.

The Woodstock Caring Communities Committee is pleased to host the Take Back the Night March again in our community. Please join us at the NBCC Courtyard at 7pm. Following welcoming statements, we will march along Main Street, Woodstock, (turning in the Court House parking lot). Special thank you to Woodstock Police Force for the police escort and for ensuring the march occurs in a safe and orderly manner. Thank you also to the Town of Woodstock for their support of this annual event.

EVERYONE is welcome to join us!

(*Parents with younger children - you may wish to bring a stroller for your child to ride in. The hill downtown can be a challenge to walk for little legs!).
