Call for Planning Advisory Committee Members

Woodstock, NB — Woodstock is seeking candidates to serve on its Planning Advisory Committee (PAC). The selected candidates would primarily sit on a sub-committee to study and submit recommendations to Council, at the latter’s request, on all matters pertaining to planning and bylaw revisions.

The Planning Advisory Committee (PAC) is an appointed Committee of Council and is comprised of eight members, no more than two are members of Council. The mandate of PAC is to perform necessary duties relating to community planning, as required by the Community Planning Act or Town Council.

This committee’s duties include making recommendations to Town Council on land use planning matter including Municipal Plan Amendments, rezoning of property, zone amendments, and subdivisions. In addition, the committee acts as the approving authority for the majority of significant variances.

Regular meetings of PAC are held on the third Monday of every month.

Any selected candidate will be the object of a recommendation to Council who, as the competent authority, will make the final decision regarding his or her appointment, as the case may be.
