Funding for Kids Sports

P.R.O. Kids vision is that all children residing in the Western Valley Recreation Association area (Nackawic-Millville to Tobique Valley) have the opportunity to participate in recreation activities that boost their self esteem and promote their healthy growth through the learning of new skills, increased knowledge and personal development.

Jumpstart’s Individual Child Grant program provides financial assistance to help children from low-income families participate in sport-focused activities.

Grants cover eligible registration and equipment costs of up to $300 per year, per child.

KidSport provides grants to kids from families facing financial barriers so they can participate in registered sport programs and experience the lifelong benefits of a season of sport. KidSport New Brunswick provides grants of up to $400 per eligible kid, per year (January 1st - December 31st) towards sport registration fees.

Are you a not-for-profit organization looking to get financial assistance to better your programs for your athletes? 

WorkSafeNB is launching PlaySafeNB, a new grant program that helps youth sports organizations across New Brunswick make sport safer for every player. Eligible organizations can apply for up to $5,000 to support projects that strengthen physical and psychological safety in sport. A total of $30,000 in funding is available for 2026.
