A celebration of Woodstock writer, George Fredericton Clarke, will be hosted by the Carleton County Historical Society at the Connell House on Wednesday, August 1st beginning at 7:00 PM.
This is the fourth anniversary of Chapel Street Editions' George Frederick Clarke Project, which is republishing all of his books. Mary Bernard, Clarke’s granddaughter and the editor of the GFC Project, is coming from her home in Cambridge, England to present the two most recently published Clarke books – David Cameron’s Adventures and David Cameron’s Return.
Clarke’s grandsons, Stephen Homer and Ian Bernard, will also be here to assist Mary with the presentation and with readings from the David Cameron books.
