EARLY LEARNING & CHILD CARE RELIEF STUDENT

The Town of Woodstock is looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, and responsible team member(age 19+ based on regulatory requirements) to join our Early Learning and Child Care programs at Skiddle Club to support fulltime relief staffing for the summer months (June – August).


You will work alongside certified Early Childhood Educators to help create a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for children. In this role, you’ll jump in to help with daily activities, support fun, play-based learning, and keep the program running smoothly.


We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with children, brings a positive and respectful attitude, and wants to be part of a team that supports their coworkers and provides and essential services to families within our community.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Assist with daily supervision of the program participants 

·         Support program planning with a balance of indoor, outdoor, quiet and physical activities

·         Willingness to participate in outdoor play/learning activities in ALL weather

·         Help with behavior management and positive guidance

·         Report incidents to Lead Educators

·         Preparation and tidiness of the facility

·         General cleaning/sanitation, notify Daycare Coordinator of any issues or repairs

 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Experience working with children is preferable

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·         Reliable, responsible, and able to maintain confidentiality

·         It would be beneficial for those students pursuing a diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Recreation, or a related field

·         Valid Basic First Aid and CPR Certificate is required

 

Wage Rate: up to $17.12/hr

Work Hours: 8 hours a day from 7:30 am - 5:30 pm Monday-Friday

Start Date: June 15, 2026 (or earlier if feasible based on recruitment timelines)
