Position Type: Inclusion Support Worker - Afterschool Skiddle Club
Hours: Part time – September – June - 20 Hours weekly (8-hour days during school closures - PD days, snow days) Full time – July- August – 30-35 Hours weekly
Wage: $17.12-$27.79/Hour (in accordance with the NB ECE Wage Grid)
Location: 105 Connell Park Road
The Afterschool Skiddle Club has an immediate opening Inclusion Support Worker to help support a child with exceptional needs in our classroom by ensuring that their needs are met while participating fully in our day.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide care and encouragement to a friendly and easy-going child
Assist with the mobility of a child to provide support and encouragement as they navigate our classroom and outside play area.
Assist with applying and removing Ankle-Foot Orthosis (AFO)
Closely monitor their specific diet (provided from home) and monitor the child at mealtime.
Collaborate with the Liddle Skiddle Coordinator and other ECE staff to promote the inclusion ALL children in all regular activities.
Allow the child to develop natural relationships with the staff and other program participants, providing one-on-one monitoring and intervention when needed.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Early Childhood Education Certificate preferred or relevant experience.
