Mural-Waterfront Woodstock Paddling Club Shed

Tourism
100 Broadway Street, Woodstock, NBĀ

Bright and welcoming, the mural on the Woodstock Paddling Club shed brings colour and creativity to the waterfront in Woodstock. Painted by artist Laura Forrester in July 2024, the artwork was created as part of the community-celebrated Dooryard Arts Festival.

The mural transforms the small building into a cheerful riverside scene. Soft blue skies, rolling clouds, and a glowing yellow sun reflecting on the water capture the calm beauty of a summer day along the river. Stylized cattails and birds in flight add natural elements that reflect the peaceful surroundings enjoyed by paddlers and visitors alike.

Located along the town’s riverfront, the mural highlights Woodstock’s connection to the water and the outdoor recreation that brings the community together. Through bright colours and simple coastal imagery, Forrester’s work creates a welcoming landmark for those launching a canoe or kayak, or simply enjoying the view along the shoreline.

Laura, a multidisciplinary artist based in Fredericton, NB has been working professionally in the arts for many years.
