 - AYR Motor Centre, Woodstock, NB

The Recreation and Community Services Department at the Town of Woodstock, NB is looking to expand our team, based out of the AYR Motor Centre multiplex. The Maintenance workers are responsible to perform custodial services required to maintain the building facilities including but not limited to the field house, aquatic centre, arena, daycare, Connell Park washrooms, Tim Horton’s Fitness Center all public areas and meeting spaces.

We are looking for self motivated, team players with strong work ethics, well developed organizational and interpersonal communication skills. These roles require a demonstrated desire and ability to deliver a high-level of customer service and consistent quality of work. Our work culture and environment provide an excellent opportunity to contribute to the successful operations of this key asset within our community. The facility is open to the public 7 days a week and the work schedule will include early mornings, days, late evenings and weekends.

KEY SKILLS, RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Organizational skills to keep the facility clean and organized
  • Communication and collaboration skills to work alongside other team members & members of the public
  • Attention to detail to perform a thorough job and meet performance and safety standards
  • Adaptability and flexibility to focus on whatever task is most important at any given time
  • Ability to complete physically demanding tasks
  • Integrity, reliability, and trustworthiness to be left to work independently
  • A clean driver’s abstract to meet standard liability insurance coverage
  • Clean criminal record check
  • Preference will be given to those candidates with a completed secondary/high-school education however an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
