The public is invited to attend MENTAL HEALTH AND THE LAW, a presentation by Mr. Gregory Zed, a suicidologist who lives and works in New Brunswick, & who has held the position of the area manager of Forensic Services. Greg has been involved in the development and operation of mental health court in our province. This is your opportunity to ask question and gain an understanding of how mental illness and the justice system interact. Greg will discuss the Mental Health Act, the Board of Review, and his experience with Mental Health Court. He will explain what it means when one is found 'fit to stand trial' and what it means when an individual is found to be 'not criminally responsible', and he is also inviting the public to send questions they'd like addressed, by email, to woodstockspc@gmail.com, so that he can include this information in his presentation as well. The event will occur at the Best Western, Woodstock NB, on April 17, 2019 at 7:00 pm.
