AMC MAINTENANCE WORKER
The Town of Woodstock, NB is looking to fill a vacancy on our team, at the AYR Motor Centre multiplex. The Maintenance workers are vital members of the team performing maintenance/custodial services within the Town of Woodstock recreational facilities, providing facility support for events and rentals, performing ice rink/arena/pool maintenance. The successful candidate will be required to apply skills in facility operations, general maintenance, and equipment operation.
We are looking for a self motivated, team player with strong work ethics, and well developed organizational and interpersonal communication skills. This role requires a demonstrated desire and ability to deliver a high-level of customer service and consistent quality of work. The facility is open to the public 7 days a week and the work schedule will include early mornings, days, late evenings and weekends.
KEY SKILLS, RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
- Perform tasks required for arena maintenance including janitorial, installation and removal of ice, ice maintenance, board maintenance, preventative maintenance, painting, and equipment repairs and maintenance.
- Perform tasks associated with aquatics operations including maintaining water quality, janitorial, preventative maintenance, painting, and general pool maintenance.
- Sports field/Parks maintenance
- Responsible for opening and closing of facilities
- Operate and maintain equipment as required for the job function
- Attention to detail to perform a thorough job and meet performance and safety standards
- Adaptability and flexibility to focus on whatever task is most important at any given time
- Ability to complete physically demanding tasks
- Integrity, reliability, and trustworthiness to be left to work independently
- A clean driver’s abstract to meet standard liability insurance coverage
- Clean criminal record check
