Mural-Main Street
A vibrant celebration of nature and place, The Fiddlehead Mural on Main Street in Woodstock was created in 2019 by artist Andrew Walton. The mural features a bold and stylized fiddlehead—an iconic symbol of New Brunswick’s spring season and the rich natural landscapes that surround the community.
Painted on a historic brick wall, the curling green fronds rise from a flowing riverside scene, representing the renewal and growth that comes each year along the waterways of the region. The fiddlehead, a young fern shoot traditionally harvested in the spring, is deeply connected to the culture and culinary traditions of the province.
Walton’s artwork brings colour and character to the streetscape while inviting residents and visitors alike to pause, explore, and appreciate the natural beauty that defines Woodstock and the surrounding valley.
