TERM LABOURERS - 6 MONTHS
The Town of Woodstock is seeking reliable and motivated Term Labourers to assist the Public Works & Utility Department with general maintenance and operational duties. This position supports the delivery of municipal services including road maintenance, infrastructure upkeep, and seasonal operations.
KEY SKILLS, RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
- General labour related to road and infrastructure maintenance
- Operating hand tools and small equipment
- Assisting with traffic control and work zone setup
- Loading and unloading materials and equipment
- General maintenance of municipal facilities, parks, and public spaces
- Supporting seasonal operations such as spring cleanup, vegetation control, and winter operations
- Performing other duties as assigned
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license (Class 3 or air brake endorsement considered an asset)
- Experience in construction, road maintenance, or public works is an asset
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to perform physically demanding work
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Standard or Emergency First Aid Training & CPR preferable.
- Successful job offers will be contingent on a Clear Criminal Record Check.
