Receptionist - AYR Motor Centre

The Town of Woodstock, NB is looking to expand our team at the AYR Motor Centre Multiplex. We are seeking a friendly, customer-focused Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for residents, visitors, and facility users. This position plays an important role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our recreation facilities by providing exceptional customer service and administrative support in a fast-paced, community-focused environment.

We are looking for a self-motivated team player with a strong work ethic, excellent organizational abilities, and outstanding interpersonal communication skills. This role requires a demonstrated desire and ability to provide a high level of customer service, maintain professionalism, and consistently deliver quality work. KEY SKILLS, RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Welcoming and assisting patrons, visitors, and facility users in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Responding to phone calls, emails, and general inquiries.
  • Processing payments and issuing receipts for programs, memberships, facility rentals, and other services.
  • Registering clients in recreation programs and booking facilities using recreation management software.
  • Verifying, promoting, and selling memberships.
  • Maintaining accurate participant and membership records.
  • Performing cash handling duties, balancing cash receipts, and completing end-of-day reconciliations.
  • Opening and closing reception and related facility systems.
  • Providing information regarding programs, schedules, events, services, and facility policies.
  • Assisting with administrative and clerical duties as required.
  • Supporting facility operations and special events as needed.
  • Maintaining a clean, professional, and welcoming reception area.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Post-secondary education in Office Administration, Administrative Professional, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Previous experience in reception, customer service, cash handling, or administrative support is considered an asset.
  • Integrity, reliability, and trustworthiness to be left to work independently

  • Full-time, permanent - 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
